Secondary pumps added to the dredge pipeline to assist the primary pump in pumping the slurry to the desired location.

How do you know when to use a booster pump?
Typically a booster pump is used when excessive head against the primary pump causes it to be inefficient enough that a savings can be calculated from the use of a booster by the increase in production.
