Dredge Chain

Description

Dredge chain is the cutting /conveying mechanisim on a chain ladder dredge that agitates and excavates the material while keeping the suction mouth clear for pumping. CDW offers four different sizes of chain determined by the chains pitch. Typical set up for the chain is three, plain, intermediate links followed by a cutting link. Every other cutting link has a cross bar as pictured below.

Sizes and types of chain:
Selection of chain size is determined by largest size of oversize wished to be passed. Below are some typical chain/pump setups. These may not fit your equipment please call CDW’s sales team to ensure proper fit.

Pitch: 7”				Pitch: 8”
Typical pump size: 8” and 10”				Typical pump size: 10” and 12”
Pitch: 9"				Pitch: 11”
Typical pump size: 14”,16” and 18”				Typical pump size: 18” through 24

Below are some pictures of the links assembled we have put a tape measure across the openings so you may get a better idea of the oversize that might pass through the chain.
