WORKBOATS & BARGES

Custom Dredge Works will work closely with you to design and fabricate a WorkBoat, WorkBarge or FuelBarge per your unique requirements and preferences.

All aspects of our WorkBoats and Barges can be customized, however, as a starting point we offer two basic WorkBoat models: The Pit Boss WorkBoat and the Pit Commander WorkBarge Platform.

The Pit Boss typically provides the following characteristics:

  • Length 17’ Width 8’   Depth 30”
  • An “A” frame style Boom with a rated lift capacity of 1-ton
  • A manually operated hoist
  • Mercury 40hp 4 stroke engine for propulsion
  • Fabricated Operator Station with cable controls
  • A roll bar around engine area to prevent collision directly to the motor above water
  • Treated lumber decking
  • Enclosed battery box
  • Removable fuel cell
  • Two hand strap winch stations w/winches included
  • Two rubber push bumpers

The Pit Commander WorkBarge Platform typically provides the following characteristics:

  • Length 32’ Width 9’ 6”   Depth 48”
  • An “A” frame style Boom with a rated lift capacity of 1-ton
  • A manually operated hoist
  • Mercury 50hp 4 stroke engine for propulsion
  • Fabricated Operator Station with cable controls
  • A roll bar around engine area to prevent collision directly to the motor above water
  • Treated lumber decking
  • Enclosed battery box
  • Removable fuel cell
  • Two hand strap winch stations w/winches included
  • Oak Planks for pushing/rubbing

Optional Equipment for the Pit Commander and the Pit Boss:

  • Operator Controls lockout cover that padlocks over steering and throttle controls
  • Engine Anti-Theft cover over engine bolts to guard tube
  • Electric recovery hoist
  • A large capacity push Fuel Barge
  • A large capacity Fuel Barge Tank built into the hull of the Pit Boss or the Pit Commander
