Job Description: As a Professional Engineer at Custom Dredge Works, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and development of dredging equipment. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers, project managers, and clients to create custom solutions that meet and exceed industry standards. Your expertise will ensure that our products are not only innovative but also safe, efficient, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Project Manager to design, develop, and implement engineering solutions.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and design work in compliance with industry standards.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
- Ensure all assigned engineering projects adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
- Must have an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field with a PE license.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in FEA and Inventor (or related program).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interpret complex technical information.
- Knowledge of dredging equipment or maritime industry experience is a plus.
