Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. As an experienced Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, equipment, and products using various welding techniques. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to ensuring the quality, durability, and safety of the finished products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, arc, and spot welding, to join and fabricate metal components and structures according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
  2. Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welding machines, power tools, and hand tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and adhering to safety guidelines.
  3. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding specifications and requirements for each project.
  4. Select appropriate welding materials, such as alloys, filler metals, and fluxes, based on project specifications, metal types, and desired outcomes.
  5. Prepare and set up welding surfaces, ensuring proper cleaning, fitting, and alignment of components prior to welding.
  6. Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve welding defects, such as cracks, distortions, and porosity, through appropriate corrective measures.
  8. Collaborate with other team members, such as fabricators, engineers, and supervisors, to plan and execute welding projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area, minimizing hazards and promoting a safe working environment.
  10. Continuously update knowledge of welding techniques, equipment advancements, and industry trends through training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship is highly preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Welder, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc with a strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of different metal types and their properties, as well as experience working with various alloys and filler metals.
  5. Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and safety protocols, including proper ventilation, protective gear, and fire prevention measures.
  6. Ability to operate and maintain welding machines and tools, troubleshoot welding defects, and conduct visual inspections to ensure high-quality welds.
  7. Strong attention to detail, precision, and ability to work with minimal supervision, meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
  8. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  9. Physical stamina and dexterity to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
  10. Certifications in welding (e.g., AWS certification) are a plus.
